# What is a plug-in wallet?

Plugin wallet refers to a plugin wallet developed based on browsers (mainly Google Chrome). It contains basic operations of general wallets, such as transferring funds, authorizing contract calls, importing/exporting/creating wallet accounts, and so on.

Browser plug-in wallet is a type of light wallet. Like an APP, it does not need to synchronize full node data and does not store wallet information. The private keys and passwords of all wallets are held by the user himself.
